For this weeks Gears of War Addicts “Addict of The Week.” We chose xGWAx JAYHAWK for several reasons. He has shown great dedication to GWA getting on the website and even playing gears with us finding time to play while he is still on vacation with his family. Just a  few days ago he mentioned to us that his family car broke down on vacation. He still found a way to play with us in all of these different locations in hotels. lol, I dont know about you guys but I would call that dedication to our clan.

I would also like to mention that although he doesn’t really care much for achievements like some of us do, he still willingly sticks around and plays horde with us on the new Dark Corners maps to assist us in getting them. Also, After the discussion of making the clan this clan more ranged in games and not just GWA, he stuck with me and some of the other clan members to keep this clan a general gears of war clan like we all signed up to be.

I think that JAYHAWK deserves a rank up.. For this JAYHAWK is now a .:GWA:. Private

How do you become the member of the week?

Each week on Sunday, the chairmen of Gears of War Addict will get together and decide who should be our member of the week. We’ll base our decision on all sorts of things such as, who was most active on the website, who played the most, most improved, sportsmanship, among other things. If you have someone you’d like to nominate, leave a message on the forum or send any of us a message on Xbox Live saying who you’d like to nominate and why. These nominations will be taken into account when we are making the decision.

As most of you may know, I am a very experienced sniper in Gears of War 2. I spent a lot of my days sniper dueling in the first Gears of War and carry a lot of that over into public matches in Gears of War 2.

For starters, if you plan on sniping often I recommend changing your sensitivity level to your liking in the menus. After a lot of tweaking, I found it to be more reliable to have my look sensitivity set to medium of which I thought was a good balance for maneuverability purposes, Zoom set to low for stability, and aim set to medium for speed as well as consistency. Although it can vary depending on the person, I feel this sensitivity is good for most.

Lets Do This!!

According to Rod Fergusson on Gearsofwar.com all players on the winning team of a Public Match a little sumthin’ sumthin’. And by that I mean 500 bonus experience points for winning. The special weekend starts now and ends when Rod gets back into work on Monday morning EST. Thats what Rod said.

Old school weekend starts on Friday. It will switch Gears 2 back to Gears 1 style; 4v4 matches with Smoke Grenades that don’t stun. These changes affect the Execution – Warzone, Annex – KOTH, and Guardian – Submission playlists only, and remember—these are Gears 1 rules. Only four to a team! This is what Joe Graf said about it:
