(Never touching the mortars again!) Most ridiculous thing that has ever happened to me in my GOW history

Ok… So for those of you who were orignally Gears of War Addicts, you might like this. Hughes03 and I have decided to bring GWA back from the dead. The actual Clan portion of the GWA is dead a buried, but we are still gears of war addicts at heart. We still want to give you all of the latest gears news on our cool GWA site. If any new stuff is happening with the gears of war, we got you covered.Slowly but shurly the site is going to be revamped and as cool as ever.. Let GWA live once again!!! :p

This message is to tell everyone one that is wanting to “join the clan.” We are not accepting any new members at this time. We will not be hosting any official competitions for a while (maybe ever) due to the amount of douchebags we’ve had to deal with in the past./lack of participation.. etc.

I still would like for all of the “Clan members” and well.. everyone else for the matter, to come and check back on this site for anything Gears. Even though we will not be doing anything “clan related” I will still keep the Gears of War Addicts site up-to-date as best as I can (prolly not quite as much ,but i will) this is still Gears of War Addicts…

My passion for video games has not died out.. Myself and the other Chairman have talked about a few ideas lately and may implement them soon. I’m not sure how any of this going to pan out.. but we will figure somthing out and will keep everyone posted.

This weeks Addict was kinda hard to choose. There wasn’t one the clan member that stood out of rest. This week’s “Addict of the Week” is not just for this week alone, more of ever since she has been in the clan.. For this weeks “Addict of The Week” We have chosen xGWAx EdieKaye.

EdieKaye has been one the best clan members we have ever had. She is always on the site (which is what we like to see from the addicts.) She recently got her internet working to where she can actaully play with us as well. Shes not the best, but is a great sport and I know I speak for the clan.. I enjoy playing with her. Edie you’ve been such a great clan member, Thank you for all that you have done..

I havent played much this week due to our internet being messed up.. ,but I did get some word from the other clan members on who should be this weeks “Addict of The Week”. For this weeks “Addict of The Week” We chose none other than…. WildCody123. Wildcody played some gears this week with some of the other clan members, and One of our Generals (KAMiKAZE). I think he deserves some reconition. He is funny as hell to play gears with.. Cody does this ring a bell man ****’in CHAINSAAAAAWWWWW!!!!!!!!

The Horde Challenge didnt turn out quite like we had hoped.. Some people failed to show up or was too late once again.. So we decided to just play some horde with the people that were here. I have decided to reward the people that showed up and wanted to play.. with a rank up! So everyone on this list below each get a rank up.. Congrats

For this weeks Gears of War Addicts “Addict of The Week.” We chose xGWAx JAYHAWK for several reasons. He has shown great dedication to GWA getting on the website and even playing gears with us finding time to play while he is still on vacation with his family. Just a  few days ago he mentioned to us that his family car broke down on vacation. He still found a way to play with us in all of these different locations in hotels. lol, I dont know about you guys but I would call that dedication to our clan.

I would also like to mention that although he doesn’t really care much for achievements like some of us do, he still willingly sticks around and plays horde with us on the new Dark Corners maps to assist us in getting them. Also, After the discussion of making the clan this clan more ranged in games and not just GWA, he stuck with me and some of the other clan members to keep this clan a general gears of war clan like we all signed up to be.

I think that JAYHAWK deserves a rank up.. For this JAYHAWK is now a .:GWA:. Private

Map: Nowhere
Difficulty: Casual

Note: You have to have “Dark Corners” Map Pack in order to particiapte.

With the release of the “Dark Corners” map pack on July 28th.. I thought why not celebrate its arrival with playing some Horde on one of the maps? For the this “Horde Challenge” we will be playing on the “Dark Corners” Map “Nowhere” (I thought that would be the best Horde map.) Being disrespectful, mean, offensive, etc. to any clan member, will result in a DQ for you. Remember this is all in good fun, and please try not to take it too seriously.

Horde mode challenges will feature teams of 5, all hosted by a Gears of War Addicts Chairman or General. Each team will play with the exact same game type specifications and the matches will begin at the exact same time. The teams will race to see who can complete the goal number of rounds first(50) or until 2 hours has past…(I’ll let you guys decide) The hosting Chairman or General will report to the others when their team has finished all rounds. The times will be recorded and reported by the official. The decisions of the Gears of War Addicts Chairmen & Generals are final and non-disputable.

What’s the prize? The winners of this Challenge.. will all get a Rank UP!!

The Challenge will be open to only clan members! Anyone who wants to particpate in this Challenge leave a reply to this post with your gamertag to let us know that you’re interested. The deadline to let us know is Friday July 31st by 11:59 P.M. After we figure out how many players we have, we’ll set the teams and let you know who you’re playing. The teams will be set Saturday August 1st. After we know how many people we have, we will determine the leader of each team. If people fail to show up.. we will adjust accordingly.

The Challenge will be held Sunday, August 2nd, 2009 @ 9:00pm EST.(Please get on a few minutes earlier if you can) If any one has any sugestions, comments etc. on the rules.. or anything in this post for that matter. Post a comment and give us your opinion.

This week was another difficult week in choosing the Gears of War Addicts “Addict of The Week.”  We decided to choose two members who deserve some recognition. The first Gears of War Addicts ”Addict of The Week” is none other than the SpeedDemon himself,xGWAx Demon aka xXSpeedDemon1Xx. xGWAx Demon played with Me (PWNiSH3R) and a bunch of the other clan members a lot this week. Everytime I was on he was either in a party with some of the other clan members or in a party with us Chairman. He also changed his Gamertag to “Rep the GWA.”

Now on to the second “Addict of the Week.” Sneezy (Gesundheit) aka SneezyJordan played Gears of War 2 among other games with us pretty much everyday this week. Even when he was lagging on COD 5, he would still play with us. Even when he wasn’t playing with us, he would still sit in the party and socialize or something. He did so awesome this week he even ranked up from a Grub to a Drone.
