The big reveal of Gears of War 3 that was planned to debut on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon was spoiled when Microsoft slipped up and the Xbox Live dashboard confirmed the title’s release for April 2011, but it appears there is another announcement planned for that night as well. Cliff Bleszinski announced he has “two announcements about two upcoming games” for his Late Night appearance this Monday, April 12.

I wonder what the other game could be? Shadow Complex 2? or could it be unannounced project from Epic-owned studio People Can Fly. Publisher Electronic Arts revealed during its latest fiscal update the title will be released in early 2011. I guess we will find out Monday.

For those waiting to see tomorrow night’s Cliff Bleszinski game reveal on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, I hate to break it to you, but its not happening…. on thursday.

Fallon producer Gavin Purcell has confirmed via Twitter that Bleszinski appearance on the show has been shifted to Monday due to scheduling conflicts. Looking at the updated Fallon schedule reveals that in Bleszinski’s place teenage singing sensation Justin Bieber is to appear. So it looks like we’ll have to wait a few extra days for the big reveal of what is hoped to be Gears of War 3.

Update: It appears the reason for the delay was due to developer Epic Games needing more time to put the finishing touches on its new, unannounced game for the big reveal.

“The truth of the matter is that we wanted to take a couple more days to polish what we’re showing,” Bleszinski wrote on his twitter account. “Sorry all, appreciate your patience!”

Cliffy B will be unveiling Epic’s new game next Thursday on the Jimmy Fallon show. Most people are speculating that it is Gears of War 3. A tweet recently by Cliff himself sounds like an almost confirmation of Gears of War 3.

“therealcliffyb I shall not say “bigger better blah blah” or carry any weaponry for the Fallon announce.”

Could it be that he is talking about Gears of War 3 because of he constantly hyped Gears 2 by saying “bigger, better and more bad ass” almost the same amount of times the game sold copies. Hmm.. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Could Gears of War 3 really be coming? It might be… According to Kotaku. Cliff Blesziski will be debuting epics new game, April 8th… Hmm that is the same day that the original rumor said the Reveal of Gears of War 3’s trailer. This could be very interesting. “The host of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon writes that the design director for popular Xbox 360 exclusive Gears of War will be on his show next week to debut his next game.

Game developer Cliff Bleszinski, who worked on both Gears of War and Gears of War 2, has not yet talked about when the final game in the trilogy will hit the Xbox 360. And it may not be Gears of War 3 that Bleszinski will be talking about.

Reached for comment this evening, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon producer Gavin Purcell told Kotaku that Bleszinski’s appearance will include a chat with the show’s host. He declined to say what game they would be talking about, but said it is very exciting.

Earlier this month, Edge reported that a “trusted U.S. publishing source” told them that Gears of War 3 won’t be hitting until April 2011. And Epic VP Mark Rein recently told G4TV that his company wouldn’t be releasing any games this year.

Studio People Can Fly, which Epic owns, has its own game in the works for EA, but that won’t be released until the beginning of 2011, a game that may very well be known as Bulletstorm. Maybe that’s what Bleszinski will be talking about. Or perhaps Epic is getting on the Project Natal or even Playstation Move bandwagon.
